So, I have this case: there are berries growing in a residential area. Using a foraging circle here wouldn’t be practical, so I’ve selected these bushes for laborers to gather. Now I’m wondering, could we get children to pick these berries? Children can already stock their homes with various items, so why not let them bring berries here too?

Building on this i think an apprenticeship system in addition to the school could utilize this. Before the school is built the children can gather nearby berries and firewood if automatically unassigned to a profession, and after its minimized to 1/10 or something.
