Now i could be wrong but i THOUGHT i remember something like Eye of Dreeg having 12k acid damage, and 40k poison damage over time. now it says 3k acid damage, and 25k poison. That is a colossal nerf.
Or is it? It’s been a while, just came back to the game and have not played this toon in almost a year. Am i just remembering it wrong?
I’ve got 1500% poison damage and +500% duration on this toon.
I don’t know about nerfs, but transmuted DEE is still very strong. Witchblades are probably the strongest DEE builds and they’re capable of clearing Gladiator (highest level) Crucible relatively easily.
pick the transmuter for dee. i can’t remember if it always had been a spell without cooldown. but from the sounds of it it hadn’t and at some point it was changed into one? so it got a transmuter to remove add the cooldown and increase damage to old levels?
what do you mean transmuted? the DEE i use is the one with a CD that goes off like a bomb, it’s very strong, but the initial impact is negligible now, never kills anything on contact you have to kite.
i do remember acid dmg getting nerfed across the board so maybe that was it. and i’ve never cleared Gladiator crucible with anyone, i’m not trying to be that 133t lol; i’ve got BIS gear and thousands of hours played but gladiator requires more than the numbers i’m putting up still.
focused gaze is that transmuter that adds the cooldown, it’s a spam spell without. maybe focused gaze could do with a buff.
Focused Gaze is fine I think. If anything to do with DEE needs a buff/change - it’s Terrifying Gaze. I don’t think any DEE build, transmuted or not, puts more than 1 point into it.
Transmuted DEE should be able to clear mobs on the initial impact. Mine does and I’m still using the Empowered Miasma Set. My DoT can crit up to 88K (highest I’ve personally seen) and the initial explosion usually clears out groups before the DoTs even take effect.
Can someone grimtool a witchblade DEE that can clear Crucible Gladiator with ease? Very curious on how that build would look.

Keep in mind, a lot of builds that clear Gladiator “with ease” are very gear dependent. That being said, right now, any half-decent poison caster can clear the base game with relative ease so long as you stack poison damage.
The current meta is to have Soldier as support mastery, craft a Siegebreaker, s̶p̶a̶w̶n̶ farm a Bullshit Solael-sect Legguards of Even More Bullshit and then Crucible here I come.
