Any advice how to improve JaJaJa`s double blitz Commando build?

One of my fav builds since its easy to play and just fun. However in todays world it seems to be falling behind (struggles in Cruci 150+) and overall maybe there are things to make it better?

Build: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/62a4lbbN

Mind you all the 4 craftable items are with +4% Physique bonus (granting around 30 DA each).

I was planning to do the following changes:

  • remove 3 points from Behemoth and 1 yellow Crossroads

  • add 4 to Revenant

  • replace the sword, helm and rings with crafted with +Armor bonus - should result in a net loss of ~120 DA and gain around 400 armour.

  • Maybe move heart from amulet to medal and add Seal of A. there though the build struggles for Energy quite a bit.

  • maybe replace Medal with an Incorruptable Ikrix Scale of readiness - addint 12% HP heal to each use of overguard which happens all the time and compensate some of the DA loss. Though you lose on the dmg boosting proc from Blood Sigil…

  • Also nowadays i feel like Chariot needs a big boost to make it worth so many points and maybe should replace Chariot and Dire Bear with Dying God?

Any ideas would be most welcome.

I’d say that this setup is weak because of the rings and devotion choices. I am going to change rings/devotions to what I think would be an optimal setup and post it in few minutes.

All right, here is what I think would be a 100% bullet-proof tank with decent killing speeds. Chose Salt over another Seal of Might for safer fight at wave 169 and faster killing times against Aetherials. You keep both Blitz skills and on top of that you get a 21/16 Cadence which should deliver good damage.

I changed devotions completely, I think this way you will deal both more damage and be much tankier. Boots were chosen so you can cap Blitz (a lot of damage in last two paints).

Tell me how it goes when you test it.

Thanks man - looks really solid though my concern would be that maybe we loose all that sweet AOE from Rings proc, Meteor + Flame torrent.

Will give it a go and update

Cunning and Spirit seems to be quite off - how do you equip the rings and sword?

Sword requires 511 cunning - you have 418
rings/amulet require 397 - you have 323

I’m not an expert, but I like to try my hand at these things and learn in the process. It seems to me that the intent is Mehnir’s Bulwark for flat, so I went with that concept. I did change the Relic, medal, devotions, some components and augments. And since the intent looked to be more agressive than passive, I went Dead God. (Sadly there are just not good proc skills for many actives - and a tiny radius BWC doesn’t really do justice for Fiend).
Harp in my experience is pretty good for energy replen.

My take: Grimtools more offensive tweaks

(The change in relic removes Blazing Charge, but I figured Blitz is enough and losing +1 to soldier was not worth BC. But if not…swap it back. I suspect the movement skill will be removed from the relic in FG, as well) Stag could easily be swapped to Solemn, if wanted even more DA - depends what you like for compromise.

Not until FG comes sorry:)

But sadly, i can say commando is not much worth it for either tankyness or damage. But until then you can try letting go of meteors and going for morephys dmg in devotions

Ah you are such a tease.

And i get what you mean - just looking high level at the potential for such a build via Warlord is times better than a Commando.

After the stream last evening i cant take this anymore - need the expansion so badly :frowning:

Warlord is good for MArkovian yes. But DK can also be a very smooth contender:) Unless you don’t like the idea thematically which I can understand

Well, both Blitz skills and Empyrion are aoe skills. Elemental Harmony is just a gimmicky choice for a physical build, Black Matriarch is just too good.

Never mind i already did it… I don’t know who did u not see this.

After several iterations i finally feel i got to the sweet middle ground - thanks to Mad_lee and the other guys who had a different spin on this build:

Still leveling the devotions though it already feels stronger.

Will try Lokkar and report back (i could easily kill him with the original build).
