I thought that FoI got buffed a few patches ago but I didn’t see any competitive FoI builds. Is the skill still too mana intensive?

Chaos in particular have shortage of energy regeneration, but that also depends on your particular build.

I like in particular cold FoI Infiltrator. Auto applied RR is always nice for channeling spell.

Fire / Lightning FoI should be decent too (Omnitrio has something like that). You can also make a Fire focused FoI by combining Mageslayer with a bunch of items that convert Lightning and Cold to Fire.

Yes combining off and time dilation will give you some of the highest possible fire resist reduction in the game

A chaos FoI like this one https://www.grimtools.com/calc/YNn3bky2 is fairly strong as well.
Can highly recommand if you plan to play FoI.
Not only does it deal nice dmg, it has great sustain as well.

this kind of build can very compfy farm sr 65-75
if you want inquis seal too for more tankiness, just switch points around a bit to your liking.

bloody pox + sigil make for fairly nice and easy leveling imo + you get good leveling MIs for both of them fairly early into theg ame as well.
