I have recently managed to farm A LOT of legendaries with my new account self found poison WH, however I’m only able to reliably farm challenger crucible with extra spawn.
I think I could afford to create a new character and have enough gear to get it started, my goal is to reliably farm crucible gladiator with extra spawn.
I spent a lot of time looking at forums but a lot of builds seem outdated, with people complaining they don’t work any more.
What is/are the absolute best builds to do the above? I’m talking absolute ownage no death easy mode style… unless it’s impossible after new patch?
Overcapped resists are the best defence there. Many heroes and bosses in Crucible can reduce your resists, drastically increasing damage done to you.
And sword&board builds are probably the best to do that…
That’s why Challenger is so much easier, btw - you have extra resists on that difficulty, in fact.
I seem to have majority of items for this build; it seems he is using Judicator’s Signets as rings if I’m not mistaken (edit: Invoker’s Burning Hand + Lifegiver Signet makes more sense). Providing this wasn’t just 1 in 100 lucky run show off video I might actually go for it and see how it performs
Having read all replies I’m now undecided between sorcerer and commando… Commando sounds more tanky thus more reliable with less dps whilst sorcerer seems more reliant on player skill but nets more dps/aoe? If that’s correct I would probably go with commando as I’m not a very good player
Commando is maybe a bit easier, but in any case crucible still require some decent decision making, in the current meta no build can compelely faceroll it like phys S&B did in 1.0.0.5/1.0.0.6
I still don’t get why people are farming Gladiator Cruicible this patch. Must be just for the thrill and testing out how potent your Character is overall.
Why not just easily clear Challenger without any hairpulling moments or stress at all?
I mean, finishing Gladiator might grand you twice as much Legendarys. Meanwhile you can clear Challenger in about half the time, which makes the results more or less even in the long run.
Or am I missing the point here? Pre nerf Witchblade/Commando were able to farm Gladiator fast and reliable, without too much stress involved. So I can understand, why those chars were so beloved.
That’s what I referred to by opening this topic. I have a new account self found WH who now facerolls ultimate and challenger crucible. I therefore wondered if faceroll gladiator is possible as my WH can’t do it. Unfortunately nerfs too stronk !
Well, you stated, that you want to farm Gladiator reliable with another Char. I just question, why you want to farm Gladiator at all. It’s possible but even the most reliable Gladiator farm builds atm might be doomed by RNG spawns or slight missplays.
And a Poison/Acid WH can clear Gladiator.
But if you really want to beat it reliable and that is your goal overall, cause you like the challenge and the rewards, go BWC Commando/Sorc, or one of the few other builds that can stem this task.
But just for farming legs, I find Challenger more appealing.
I would say its tier2 for crucible, dont be surprise that WH can finish gladiator, actually every mastery combo can finish it, the difference is succesrate / cleartime.
Um… No the most reliable farm builds can RELIABLY farm gladiator… I made a ct sorc based off someone else’s guide and it does it easy. Sure it takes longer than Challenger… But I find better gear drops in gladiator.

I can farm Gladiator difficulty with my Witchblade now, quickly and without deaths (and with extra spawns, of course). But he’s one of the strongest builds ATM, and has near-BIS gear. If you character isnt THAT strong, then you should farm Challenger.
BWC Commando is a beast for Gladiator farming in the current patch.
Physical S&B are still doing good job but in bottom of tier1 Gladiator list.
