So, I’m working on a lightning dual wielding savagery build aiming for Elementalist (mostly because of RR). I’m still at early levels, so I’m just going Shaman for now.
Thing is, dual wielding savagery has absolutely no AoE built on itself. I was wondering if Wind Devils would be enough AoE for cleaning trash there or if I should just work on something else, maybe even dropping Demo.

My advice, don’t pick up Elementalist for a melee Savagery build, dw or not dw.
Aoe comes from Hand of Ultos devotion, Reckless Tempest devotion (if you take it) and weapon procs, (chain lightning on the two lightning swords that you can pick up for melee Savagery).
Although, greatest dw Savagery build would be full Korba Trickster, there is a guide made by Superfluff, follow it and you are good.
I guess I can manage wind devils then until I grab Ultos.
What would be your suggestion for a lightning savagery dw then? Just nightblade for a more defensive setup? Actually sounds good and frees my relic slot.
What is your goal with the build?
As I said, grab full Korba set, that would your best dw Trickster. It would be cold focused, not lightning. Lightning Trickster wouldn’t be half as strong. There are really no good builds for lightning melee DW, Valinov made an elementalist but it’s just gimmicky and not really that strong when compared to Korba Trickster.

Why do you recommend these kind of end-game geared build to beginners?
i’ve ran a lightning DW trickster in the vanilla game for a while. worked all right, but nothing to write home about. there was a lack of gear support for that build back then, and i think there’s still no real support for it now.
back then, that wasn’t such a big deal since gear was overall less powerful, but nowadays lack of gear is essentially a death sentence when your build has to compete with properly supported skills with easy access to high skill bonuses and extra damage gear modifiers.
probably still good enough to play through the campaign, but don’t expect great performance overall.
I am not sure if op is indeed beginner.
