AoE skills and range

Currently modifiers for aoe skills are only useful if you invest in the base skill as well. Take agonizing flames for example, if you want to apply the rr some points in bwc are needed otherwise you hit one enemy at a time. The same goes for break morale, without points in war cry you just dont hit anything.

It would be great if all modifiers to aoe skills would provide the same aoe range extensions as the base skill - up to the maximum range the skill currently allows for.

Lets say a skill has a linear progression of 1m per level up to a maximum of 10, you could either invest 10 points in the base skill, or 1 base and 9 modifier, or an even distribution of 5 between the two to reach maximum range.

Not sure if the engine could take the higher of both.

Because some people would simply max both and then have double the AOE:P

As said, not the higher value but adding both values, but only to the currenty range maximum. So no change to the basic range balance of a skill, but making modifiers more viable.

Is everyone busy testing, doesnt mind investing in cof to get some decent aoe for that - elemental resistance, or am i the only one havin an issue here?

Long story short. It does not bother me the way it currently is. I think it’s good that you have to invest into parts of the skill to increase it’s range.

5m radius is actually bigger than it looks.
