The Apiary seems to have a ring around it but putting it near berries seems to not impact the honey bonus. Is this a bug or is this an opportunity for improvement? plz discuss
Yellow areas on the map when you are placing the Apiary show where you will get the bonuses. Fields and Gardens seem to give best bonuses.
What I really want to know is where are the Monkeys 
Apeiary is rumored to be in update 0.7.5

Place them near houses, they give great yields

Which is absurd that houses give better yields than putting them next to fruit trees or farms…

Putting them in the middle of crop fields works, just not near berries. Which I think would be something to consider.
It works, but it doesn’t give as good of honey bonus as putting them by houses.
Another thing that I found out today that you need to consider… farmers are the ones that tend to the apiaries. So it gives them something to tend to between planting and harvest, but if you have a bunch of apiaries all over town and need to build/expand a farm, you will significantly slow down their building of the new farm because of all the time they spend tending to the apiaries.
