Arcanist

I agree with most suggestions except you can’t put -rr% on Nullification mechanically. I would suggest just upping the damage of Trozan, removing damage penalty from Maiven and maybe bringing old Star Pact back.

I don’t think Arcanists should become tanks, instead I think they should deal a lot of damage to compensate for their innate lack of resists/armor/hp and have some good fail safe mechanics that allow them to successfuly kite/mitigate endgame content. Like Ascencion spell - feels like it should be something that Arcanists have - portable seal/damage buff to strategically use against big bad enemies. But it’s too late in the game to implement that.

So I would say yes to:

  • removing penalty on Maiven
  • increasing damage buff on Arcane Will, maybe adding increased healing effects to it
  • increasing damage of Trozan/projectile fall speed

Dmt’s example of how fully decked double set offensive Druid is performing at the same speed as immortal lazy Markovian Warlord is very relevant here.

Well for % Aether at first and % elemental at the second - would be great if we can move these RR types from gear to Arcanist mastery, but I doubt it will happen.

I don’t really have an opinion on the matter, but comparing one Arcanist build that was always known as average at best, against Warlord who’s considered to be the top dog now and is going to eat some nerfs next patch, then using it as a leverage to ask for mastery-wide buffs is not just not relevant at all, but downright detrimental to your cause.

Why? I find it strange that a DPS build with two offensive sets, offensive devotions, good Aoe, 3500 OA and 65% crit dmg can’t outperform melee builds with lower offensive stats. I mean that I pilot it well, kiting carefully and all I can get is the same result as if I played some Dervish/Warlord/Vindicator?

Pretty much this >>>

Full blown offensive mage with two (!) sets, 3500 OA (should be more with banner) 65% crit damage (should be 115% on Trozan skill) does the same damage as immortal Warlord with a shield and very little aoe (compared to Trozan Druid).

And yes, Warlord is getting cut, but this is not about Warlord.

I think flat absorb should be thrown onto a permanent passive which isn’t often picked, thereby forcing the players to use more skillpoints.

And the passive which comes to mind? Fabric of reality.

With the death of binders, aether arcanist builds “seriously need a buff” :stuck_out_tongue:

It would also further reduce this defence gap which was very elegantly pointed out by dontwannaknow0

Arcane will also isn’t picked past 1pointer. And it’s not permanent so I see the point in there.

Anyway I just hope we don’t get to the point where powercreep is excessive and we need to nerf arcanist (or any other buffed class) again just because we went overboard with the suggestions.

I know precisely 0 about coding, but I’d imagine that it’d be a simple issue of tweaking some numerical values on the flat absorb should this suggestion come to pass.

You can use that as an argument to buff TSS or indivitual gear pieces, but not Arcanist.

The issue of this thread is that the impact of the suggested damage buffs has not been considered. So please answer this question: how is it good for the game to buff caster damage and drive down crucible times even more?

It seems you didn’t get the message
With such high offensive stats the damge output should be much better. And hereyou can see how it’s hard and long to fight in SR. What if I had just 3k OA? Also all the damage is from procs not from the skills.
I can understand if there was some real damage in exchange of fragility, but, ah, unfortunately:eek:

Playing melee build now is like “facetank and kill everything with no sweat”. Playing casters is like “paying attention to enemies, kiting and prob you get the same results, have a luck”

With all respect…please don´t say “Melee” if you really mean only some speccs. Let´s talk about the dozens of 2H-6-minute-Crucible-builds out there. The 05:XX-Melee-Reapers. Etc.

I understand your point but the comparison is a little bit off imho.

That is just it. Higher stats do not universally always mean higher dps relative to another build. Look at chaos builds having huge +% damage but still achieving similar clear times as other non-chaos builds.

In FG there is no such thing as a glass cannon at the moment, only builds that are more glassy than others. Bringing back glass cannon either means driving down crucible times again with some power creep for casters or damage nerfs to shield/tanky build clear times.

is this your legendary 62 pierce res char btw? 1800 armor and 13 phys res no overcap or max res and such?

can you put offensive and defensive stats on your char so we might take your feedback seriously… cause if we are talking about same char, your feedback is not something to consider as a feedback rather than a joke…

you are posting sr 75 video with a weird char as gameplay experience which is not acceptable to me. posting guides and claiming they are op and such is understandable attitude current state of gd forums but pls dont bring that thing in feedback part of forum…

I have to ask you, have you ever played a Trozan TSS druid? Cause that build looks pretty good to me(I would prefer higher pierce res but other then that it looks great). Unless you mean that Trozan TSS druid are all automatically considered “wierd” and should not influence the gamebalance.

nope i have no real experience about TSS sir. can you tell me/show how well rounded TSS build can be, i would love to be enlightened?

I do not know what you are asking for. Do I need write a guide on how to build a good TSS build(sorry I do not have the time for that) to prove you wrong? And what do mean by “well rounded”? Its not like you have all that many options for defense with a Trozan TSS build due having caster armor, no physical res from the set and no WD% on the skill.

You where the one that called it a “weird char” that was basically irrelevant to the discussion. I think it is on you to prove that that is so.

Come one, tell me where should I get armor and phys res on the set without armor and phys res. Or better show me some Trozan build that can facetank at least 65 SR
I gave the facts and you gave nothing

many people already did that, including me. reading/searching is not hard, and talking with assumptions irritates me a lot.

there is no excuse in GD when it comes to layer of defences, this is not POE.
you can even feel small investment of defence into your char and %100 legit see its effects on your char. same goes for offensive part. thats beauty of GD.
so i dont think talking alot further will help this, i standby what i have said;

you cant post a video of a ‘weird’ char on a feedback forum which is totally joke on defensive side of things and trying to tackle one of hardest content game to offer and whine how hard about it.
by the way ‘weird’ is best word by my humbleness standart to describe it.

I told what’s the problem there, if you have a problem with reading I can repeat it for you
If you don’t have proofs of “Allmigthy Trozan Druid” give it without all this “many people already did that, including me. reading/searching is not hard, and talking with assumptions irritates me a lot.”

By the way
