Armor and on-hit damage distribution

Hi all! There was a question about the mechanics of the armor when a mob hits a character and the distribution of damage by zones. With absorption, everything is clear, but how does the mechanics work when hit - it falls into a certain zone - arms, legs, torso, and why are percentages indicated there (probability of hitting)? Or when a mob hits you, the damage is distributed over the zones in the specified percentage? Thanks in advance for your help ))

Although I haven’t tested personally (Grim Dawn surprises us all the time) my knowledge is that:

Yes, that’s why I don’t generally use low level legendaries with interesting properties that are gone in the higher variants because unlucky hits in those might not be pleasant.
