Armor piercing and conversion

Hi,

I would like to how the stat “armor piercing” on some weapons interact with damage conversion. I played a lot of TQ and GD already but never bothered to understand this part of the mechanics, I mostly used spells ^^"

Is it simply a natural damage conversion on weapons, as in if I have a 20% armor piercing weapon and 80% physical to elemental conversion, I won’t do any physical damage with my weapon, and only piercing and elemental damage?

Thanks in advance for any help =)

Armor pierce is not conversion. It is separate. If you have 100% physical damage converted to acid and 100% armor pierce, your weapon would do 0 pierce damage because conversion occurs before armor pierce. If you want to learn more about conversion there is a section in the game guide which explains it.

Elemental will convert 80% of the physical damage and armor piercing will convert 20% of whatever physical is left. Meaning there’s gonna be some leftover physical damage.

Thanks for your answer, even if i don’t really like it as it takes away a lot of potential for a build I had in mind ^^"

I read the game guide but I did not find information about armor piercing, I must have skipped it =/

Yeah I’m not sure it is in there either, I meant to look at the guide for conversion. The second link I posted has much more information about piercing and conversion and other complex mechanics.
