Tower guards get cut down very quickly without higher tier armour, maybe an option to allow them hauberks.

I’d also argue about hunters getting better armor, as they die to wolves way too easy.
There are 3 tiers of weapons and armor. Soldiers can equip everything. Guards and hunters can get T2 weapons (swords) but only T1 armor (hide).
It would also make sense to let all professions equip T1 weapons (crude), so they are not so defenseless. Right now, crude weapons exist in a game but can only be purchased, I don’t think anyone bothers to buy them.
