asking for some tutorials

Hello guys, after fiddling around for ages of how to mod this game, i finally got some breakthrough. Im a designer, mainly 3d design and i suck at coding, even though i learn pretty fast. I wanted to ask, if someone knows of a tutorial, of how to create new particles, not only for the editor, but actually coding them, so they do what i want them to do. (something like a sunray coming from the sky, and exploding at contact with the ground). Also, i dont know if it is actually possible, but i want to add a whole new item type to the game. Looking at the files, it seems that it is possible, but not without changing base animations, or adding new ones. Is it possible to somehow get to the basemesh of the character to actually add new animations to it? I already have some models of new swords and stuff, but i have no clue on how to code them in :frowning:

The PSEditor actually takes care of such things, you don’t need to write stuff into a file without preview. ASYLUM101 once wrote a nice guide for it for tq (still the same editor) but the site is currently down.

That depends on the itemtype. You can use unused item slots like staff and spear to create either a twohanded ranged or twohanded melee weapon class but you can not add entirely new item types.

i hope that they add a exporter for blender aswell… Not everyone has a 1000 dollars for those moneygrabbers :frowning:
