I am beginner user of Grim Dawn modding tool. I would like to create an expansion to the game, with unique maps, quest, conversation etc… The mod name is : ‘Revolution’.
My biggest concern, that I cannot use conversation editor at the moment. Somehow I cannot make connection between the quest and the conversation. What I realized, that I cannot change the ‘Grim Dawn’ to mod name ‘Revolution’ in conversation editor:
The other thing, when i try to select Beginquesttask, it is only seeing the base game quest, but not my quests, what I have created for mod. It can only be seen, if I change the ‘set build directory’ to the mod map. Is it the right way? In this case I also cannot change the ‘Grim Dawn’ to ‘Revolution’:
This is a picture about the quest:
I put an NPC to the map. I change the conversation link to my created. It works well, and my conversation appears in the game:
But when I reach the conversation section: ‘Accept - I can handle it’, nothing happpens. The quest does not start.
I push F7 in AssetManager in every case, when I make change, to build the mod again. I think it is necessary, but it does not help.
What am I doing wrong? I would be very happy, if somebody could help.
Now I could add quest to map in word editor, but it seems, it was not enough.
What I realize, that I have always got error message, when I want to Rebuild All Patching in World editor. Is it can be relation with quest failure?
I also realized, when I change the location of spawn of main character in word editor, it is not changed in game. When I open the editor, the spawn point is in another location compared the location, when I am testing. Is it in relation with rebuild failure also?
What can occur this rebuild failure? How can it be eliminated?
its a warning not an error - I dont want to search for the post from a dev right now about it, but it just means you still have to save your map it doesnt do it on its own when building it.
moving the spawn point after you have logged into the world with a character wont change the spawn location of that character, make a new one it should work with it, if not you may not have saved the map and compiled it, but Im going to assume you did.
