Assigning Skills with Steam Controller

As the title may suggest, I have no idea how to do this.

It appears the “UI” (cursor / mouse mode) and “In Game” (movement with controller) control sets (just going off of what I configured in Steam) have their own separate quickbars.

Everything I’ve been able to find suggests right clicking and selecting a skill, but since I have to have the cursor active to do that, I can’t customize the controller’s quickbar. Only the normal quickbar for mouse and keyboard.

How do I customize the controller’s quickbar, and not the mouse and keyboard quickbar?

Nevermind, I figured out where I went wrong. I had my Steam Controller set up with mouse region, so it registered as a mouse. You can only modify the controller quickbar with the “cursor”.
