I`m using GI, with GrimCam, being able to zoom out quite far.
When I´m using RANGED Primal Strike on RMB for example,
my character will ONLY attack if the target (being ground or an enemy) is within reach. If not, the character will just raise the weapon. Holding “Stationary Attack” makes no difference.
Same is true when using LMB, also with “Stationary Attack”.
However if I use NORMAL ATTACK or MOVE TO on LMB, “Stationary Attack” will solve the problem: The character attacks - no matter how far I point my mouse.
NORMAL ATTACK on RMB also works with distant targets.
This shows, that attacking very far is not intentionally prohibited by the game, so:
Could we please have the same with RMB plus Skill-Attacks?
I’m not sure if it’s good because when I do what you’ve described the bullets don’t even reach the target. Why would would to shoot while dealing no damage? Perhaps LMB Normal Attack should be changed to PS-like for that reason.
Right.
But sometimes I like to make a curtain fire.
Or often, enemies charge anyway.
When I press the “trigger” and nothing happens, that’s just unsatisfying.
I need to replace the mouse cursor and shoot again, if I accidentally pointed too far away. That’s a tiny amount of time I cannot attack charging enemies…
