Love this new game. Thanks for the early access.
I’ve done half a dozen maps so far and have gotten into a rhythm where I’m not killing everyone through stupidity anymore, BUT as I approach 500 population I’m beginning to lose my mind paying attention to all the little things that need to be tweaked every year. Maybe add some opt-in automation for those of us who like to admire the view more than run around making minor adjustments. Here are a few that come to mind.
- Milking on and off. Maybe the herders can make that decision automatically.
- Notification for running out of storage (versus having to manually review the entire map looking for little brown figures on top of storage buildings)
- A building (a mine for example) that runs out of resources drops the worker automatically. Lots of people sitting in buildings doing nothing at the moment unless you review the entire map etc.
- Dropped workers become laborers automatically.
- Add a buy order / sell order function to that we don’t have to spend several months hovering over the trade post waiting for 2-3 traders to show up to buy/sell to. If I need 100 widgets let me create a buy order for 100 widgets and if one of the traders has them they fill the buy order. Same with sell orders. I have 1000 wonkers and when the traders show up they see my sell order there and fill it if possible.
- Add a mini-map in a corner of the window so that we can click on a section and jump to it automatically instead of scrolling endlessly scrolling… (thank you for the return to town center button).
- Add a mouse hover pop-up for the population screen so that those of us who have not read every devblog can see what in hell those numbers and numbers in parentheses mean for laborers/builders for the love of God…
- Add a pop-up (related to the one above this one) that says something like “are you sure you want to remove X farmers if you increase laborers by X” or something so that those of who are math challenged can get a warning
