Belgothian Suggestion

The Set - https://www.grimtools.com/db/itemsets/124

Belgothian BMs are the most squishy melee chars in game. Please make them just a lil more up to the challange…they seem left behind a lil.
My thoughts are following:

Belgothian’s Armor:
Increase %pierce dmg to a max of 100%ish
Add % phys dmg in same amount as pierce
Add DA or %DA stat on it
Add +2 to Field Command

Belgothian’s Mask:
Add DA or %DA
Increase health bonus to a max of 500ish

Belgothian’s Shoulderguard:
Add DA or %DA

Belgothian’s Slicer:
Add DA or %DA
Increase armor pierceing from 36% to 50%

Belgothian’s Sigil ring:
Add % phys dmg in same amount as pierce
Add health or %health

OP?

What ? please share the grimtools that makes you say that

This is what im playing…and i get 1 shot too many times : https://www.grimtools.com/calc/0V04QG1V

I’m no expert in the slightest when it comes to builds, but my first thought is… why max Field command and not a single point in Squad tactics? Attack speed is extremely important AND there’s all the +% to all damage you’re missing out on.

Secondly and this is where I’m far less experienced but your skill points look very spread out, and for a high level char, there seems to be a lack of focus on any skill, it’s all a bit of everything, but again I’d wait for more experienced high level players to comment on that bit.

Your are spot on

well when 75% of your stats are invested in cunning, and you’re trying to play in ult, 2300 DA doesn’t cut it for nemesis and such, not for melee anyways.

I don’t get whats wrong with people, play glass cannon melee in ultimate, which by the way strongly discourages doing this, then complain when you die in one hit.

here’s the cardinal rule if you’re shooting to play in ultimate: ONLY invest in stats what you need to equip your rings/weapons/off hands, everything else needs to be put into physique

Field Command gives OA, DA and Armor% when Squad Tactics gives AS%, which i have maxed out, %cast speed, which i dont need, and 85% all dmg ? 28% OA and 90OA+DA is way better then 85% all dmg for my build.

Skills are spread out ? Thats cause most are passives, not direct skills.

I use belgho strikes primary attack, shadow strike 2ndary attack for fast mov, blitz the same middle mouse - those 3 just on mouse.
Pneumatic Burst, War Cry, Ring of Steel and Blade spirit are 4 skills i use on keyboard…how is that much ? Is one of simplest builds…

Why all in cunning…cause no matter what u chose to use as a Belgho BM, u cannot have a wide area of kill, u remain a single target killer mostly. All cunning so i can almost always crit so i can kill fast, anything i take from dmg, is a big loss, and not that big win in defense.
So putting all in phys is a very small win in compare to the dmg loss.

THe belgo set is just missing DA and some more Health imo.
The ideea is to also kill at a decent rate on ulti…not just survive and grow a beard until u kill ur enemies.

Incorrect, Belgo is perfect for Ultimate farming. It falls short in the Crucible and fails w/o the DA items in Crucible 150+

A Belgo BM optimized for Crucible - http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56883

That’s an offensive setup, a little more defense can be squeezed in w/o sacrificing too much

I feel like I’ve seen all this before…what sorcery…what the deuce?!

I also feel like there is proof of Belgo doing fine in campaign and 150 crucible lurking about in the shadows:eek:

  1. Max your resists
  2. Max your attack speed
  3. War Cry 12 points, Break Morale 1 point
  4. Veil of Shadow 12 points
  5. Put at least one point in Squad Tactics, even if your attack speed is maxed. %dmg is a huge boost for pierce chars.

This is my setup, works very well: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/bVA8lvD2

Ah yes, I am sure we’re all pondering as to what dark sorcery is behind this mess

But seriously, in 150 as well? I am surprised tbh, I thought the Belgo nerfs were harsh.

As others have mentioned, chances are your one shots are coming from a lack of DA, lack of capped resistances (this gets even worse if they are reduced and mean you can take around 50% more damage than if they were capped) and lack of ways to mitigate damage like War Cry - life steal won’t carry you on it’s own.

In other words, your cannon is pretty glassy as of now :stuck_out_tongue:

Main reasons you only die, not capped resist, you mostly get 100% damage from bosses, monsters can crit you easily due to only 2200 DA, no physique added, therefore you only have damage. Some skills are added wrongly, but someone already posted a link with their build. There’s nothing wrong with the set, only your build. I have seen a Belgothian character in action, dealt massive damage and were also tanky, not very tanky, but could survive many monsters (and I think also facetanked Kuba, not sure about that, don’t remember).

It was never nerfed. It was left behind once 150+ hit

I think this should have been lumped in your help thread. Here’s a nice belgo build you can use for reference. Make sure you read the comments for a better understanding of the build: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66477

How on earth do you get those things?

I think a meme generator or something

like this

That’s where i got it from. didnt’ read any comments. seems i have to.

And any class can do good in main campaign…any…but the kill rate and survivability are not balanced for all classes. Some will always be better then others.
