Since i feel quite forced to play crucible to get gear (legendary per hour drop rates seems to be way too much in favor of crucible vs nemesis/BOC), i started with my Primal Strike conjurer (jajaja`s build have all the stuff).
note: crucible - while a nice alternative and fun one time stop - is boring as hell. Should have similar reward ratio in the standard game and Crucible should be just an alternative…
Anyway i get totally wrecked in Challenger around wave 130+.
Have the 2 must buffs for dots and +HP (so aroudn 18k hp) but get like insta gibbed - not fun…
Any support from the pros? I read that Saboteur (have one but its from build 1.3) can do easily the job.
There are several builds, which can farm Challenger Crucible. Personally, I farm it with my Saboteur (as you said), Witch Hunter, CT Sorc and Blademaster.
All of these do not have 18k HP, even with Blessings. Are your resistances capped? Do you have enough ADCH? Do you play the build ranged with Vortex of Souls or melee with complete Ultos Set? For the last waves, you should swap to Ultos imo. Too many mobs that close the gap very easily and since Falcon Swoop debuff, the aether shotgun aspect of the build lost some impact. Also, CoF doesn’t -resist debuff Aether Damage, so you should mainly go with Physical and Elemental Damage. Equip some other rings as suggested, Judicator’s Signets don’t cut the cake anymore (but I have to admit, they might be okay in Crucible. Didn’t try it yet).
Hi, i am farming Gladiator Crucible with Warborn Cadence Witchblade.
Waves 1-150, then repeatedly waves 130-150 a voilá - stash is filled with legendaries.
Witchblade Warborn or Markovian can easily farm Gladiator and produce around 15 legendary/hour, the strategy is to begin at wave 100-150 (with Rise the stack) and then use your check point to do 130-150. (x2 or x3 as you prefer since the third check point is kinda expansive)

Gladiator crucible is more challenging then other content atm. Rewards should be based on the challenge of the content. I personally would rather farm crucible then search nemesis/boc any day of the week, but thats not really the point.
That being said having multiple options for farming that are = in legs/ph wouldnt be bad as long as ones not significantly easier to farm then the other… maybe the new rogue dungeon will fix this.
Could you explain a little bit more about this build? I have done the normal difficulty yesterday, using a Blademaster, but i put many wrongs points between Physique/Cunning… i think i will need to reroll, so im looking for a good build, this Witchfire gained my atention! XD
