Better FPS on a potato PC

Hello,

I am a big fan of ARPGs and looking to play this aswell.

Problem is my current machine is very outdated. The specs are

  • Pentium Dual Core E6500 @ 2.93 Ghz
  • RAM 2 GB
  • Radeon HD 4300 series (2GB)

I am able to play the game on very low settings but still the FPS suffer so much that I am unable to enjoy the game.

Is there any way I can get decent FPS considering the PC I have?

Well, these are the minimum requirments:

OS: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10
Processor: x86 compatible 2.3GHz or faster processor (Intel 2nd generation core i-series or equivalent)
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series or ATI Radeon X800 series or better
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 5 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound

These official recommended specs are super outdated, it’s from like 2013 or something. They should update it

Not really since they’re exactly the same for Ashes of Malmouth from GOG’s website and that would have been updated more recently since they didn’t sell the game until it was released in 2016 with the expansion being released in February 2017.

My old HP machine which is about 7 years old ran the game fine right from early access through to about April this year when I changed to a newer machine.

My pc is really far worse than yours. Turn off EVERYTHING while playing including your PC!

An update, my gpu crashed :stuck_out_tongue:

So now my PC is running with a Intel Q35 Chipset as display adapter.

Now the game won’t even launch. I’m just getting a black screen on startup and the cursor does the wheel thing and the program goes to ‘not responding’ status. Any fix for this?

I have tried re-installing but it didn’t work.
