It doesn’t need onslaught. I don’t know where you got that idea.
Below is a lvl70 Mystic with subpar equipment and a maxed Leap skill branch. Trash mobs in the Leap radius die immediately or fall to bleed seconds later. And that’s without Onslaught charges. If I charge Onslaught…
that’s my point… trash mobs… i don’t wanna spend 16pts just to have another skill that deals with trash, all the rest already does ![]()
People are on here giving genuine advice and your response is to arrogantly state how much experience you have and how you dont need any help/advice/critical feedback. I mean I dont know what to tell you, leveling on berserker has been the easiest leveling experience in all my years of grim dawn. The class has insane tools, my friends are also having butter smooth experiences with it across multiple builds.
If you are dying to simple skeletons as you said then quite literally YOU are doing something wrong period. No amount of experience you claim to have changes that fact.
From what I’ve seen on reddit/steam forum I think a lot of the backlash stems from the name Berserker. People are excited about their classic enraged warrior archetype, open up the skill tree, and see shaman shapeshifting and elemental spells. If this class was named Shaman and OG Shaman had a different name I feel like many would suddenly think it’s a great class.
As for the skills I like Onslaught. It opens up fun options for DoT/nukes and enables new AA builds. It’s always nice having more WPS options. Winds of Asterkarn is unique. Leap desperately needs a different name and gives a placeholder vibe. The bottom two passives are nice even with minimal point investment. Max run speed is fun with Inquisitor + hydra for sonic the hedgehog larping. More chaos support makes me happy too.
I’m having plenty of fun with the new class and it’s clearly quite strong.
Yeah the figured that one out
Really? I have found quite a few, mostly green items tho. I saved every single one too in case I roll a Wereraven. Heck, even the Berserker relics rolled +1 to Wereraven more times than Werewolf.
Then again, that’s RNGzus for you.
Note: Then again, everything I found was pre-endgame, so maybe that doesn’t count in this case.
Edit.
It has a buff to Onslaught too. So, you could even make a Lycanslaught. Onslaught procs weapon pool skills. Yeah, there are so many deadly combos that the OP is too blind to see. Chaos Werewolf looks like it would be nucken futts in endgame.
Edit.
Normally you can’t proc wps in Werewolf form, so maybe with that weapon (or another of its type) you can? Hmmm.
I’m only level 50, so also not any endgame stuff. Maybe I got a little unlucky, but it’s been very hard to find good damage while keeping res up.
I agree. It’s a constant battle leveling up any character. I have sacrificed huge chunks of dps for better resistances. It’s worth it in the long run. The few 100’s that I immediately shelved to start a new character didn’t die once, but they had really terrible dps. Then again, being able to facetank a boss is pretty dang fun.
I too started a new level 1 werewolf berserker character and reached level 44 and my experience is that it’s overpowered, but you need to get adcth from items. Against most enemies and bosses I am unkillable, in fact I only died when doing the arkovia boss that was 10 levels higher than me. I also think the class is really fun.
why? It has in-built adcth on its first modifier Voracity
So you can facetank. I don’t even bother to dodge abilities, as long as I’m attacking I’m unkillable in 95% of enemy encounters.
but you said you need adcth on items, why? You have it on the werewolf skill already
You can’t get adcth on the raven sadly. So… very tricky.
Wereraven is designed to be a ranged/spellcaster class. It stands to reason health leech must come from other sources.
Primalist Werewolf is one of the most fun, satisfying builds you can play.
THIS. You gotta be in the thick of the fight which imo was a good design from Crate. As long as you keep attacking and have 80% freeze, stun and slow res you’re good
Have fun but on Veteran i for wiped out from 60 lvl no matter i do bosses are 65. Ending base and start AoM. If i would switch to tank even with healing abilities + potion there is no way that i can fight against first playthrough switching will provide to 5 seconds instead 1 second fight but other monster packs would take ages to encouter. Its because Legendaries(violet) does not drops often and there isnt magic find modifier on items to improve chance to farm them. I miss some summon on Class instead caster option. Would be cool for some cold/aether themed pets. And some nerfs on scalabilty that allow finish content on Veteran with blue items to not backtrack first playthrough.
Are you trolling? Or are you simple?
Nintendo has an easy mode toggle for kids in mario wonder. Maybe crate can make one for grim dawn. Those that want to face tank, they can toggle it and walla, best of both worlds. Us hardcore poe sweats can play it hard while the mario brothers can jump on monsters like they are trampoline’s!
