Bezerker...not a good class and not fun

It’s strong as a DAR in its own right.

I would say yes, unless you have another source of DR that is easily available and doesn’t require point investment. Also, you only get 1% per point above 7, so that could be seen as a breakpoint.

I think 3 points in Bloodfrenzy (which obv you might just get with +skills) will often be a no-brainer for 7% attack/cast speed. After that, it depends on how point-starved you are, what it’s competing with, and what your max speed is.

I think Icebound will often be worth a point or so, even if it’s just for the resists.

playing more with raven (early days), i don’t so much have the issue here either with feeling gated into x skill(form) = these 2 skills/cosmetic change.

It did make me realize (having recently played it), that activation and animation matters, because so far i’m genuinely enjoying using Cold Snap, and made me think/feel it highlights how Runes “suck”.
Cold snap is just RoH sans same shotgun potential, but it feels fun to use by comparison even if it will have less dmg potential not being able to be stacked/pre-placed or placed inside a boss.
Press a button, immediate response and reaction, animation and 'splosion, entertainment. RoH; press button, nothing/sfx, wait, 'splosion, while char watches in same rest pose.
*i get that mechanically there is different build interaction and opportunity because of it, but the skill/game “feedback” just makes cold snap feel better for it still

My current dissatisfaction is that despite having movement skills, I am able to increase my maximum movement speed. That should be removed and given to all other classes that do not have movement skills.

Since everyone is sharing opinions… berserker is exactly what I would make if I wanted to do as little coding and balancing as possible. Basic passives and no meaningful interaction with other classes to try and balance. I also gave up trying to make one fun.
Also ascending seems like a forced mini-game.

Still love most of the game.

Ascending all items was so unnecessary. Only whites and blues. With less affxes to get easily what you needed.

Have you tried onslaught?
It’s literally the skill that interacts the MOST with other classes…

This definitely wins delusional hot take of the week.

And even the wereforms have strong synergies. There’s this irrational focus on WPS and AAR that I honestly question the number of classes some of these people actually built over the years.

Anyways, this is all starting to sound more like bait than honest feedback. To be fair to the author, at least he didn’t start a new thread.

  • Shapeshifting (once deemed literally impossible in the TQ engine)
  • Onslaught mechanic
  • Chance of not spending Onslaught Stacks
  • Chance of refresh cooldown with another ability
  • Chance of extend duration with another ability
  • Winds of Asterkarn
  • Secondary Projectile Rain that scales with radius of the base skill (Hailstorm)
  • Secondary effects activating without hitting a target (Fault Line)
  • War Cries castable during channeled abilities (Rallying Cry)
  • Heal/% Heal per second
  • % Max Speed bonuses

Yup, absolutely phoned it in on this mastery.

Yeah well there’s nothing mechanically unique about Untamed Rage!

Bet you didn’t consider that, now did ya’?

One thing I find annoying of Berserker is the cold shred on Bonechilling cry. I still think it should have been universal elemental shred, like how Oathkeeper does it. Class feels somewhat pigeoned into cold damage on the caster side. Maybe with transmute.

We already have CoF with its 8 resist shreds. 7 on Guardians. This won’t be any worse.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys perform sorcery on TQ engine over the years to make it do things it cannot do. Adding a class that can shapeshift was probably the hardest option available (aside from making a class that climbs stairs easily) but you guys did it anyway. And people really call it a lazy effort. Wtf

CoF is the poster child for debuff. It’s the base on which all others are compared to, and kind of the whole occultist point. So it’s not fair to use it as a point of comparison.

Guardians can do 7, but never at the same time. It does 5 at best.
spectral wrath does 5 as well

And everything else does 4 or less

Bonechilling cry does 4 already. Adding 2 elemental would make it the second best curse in the game… On a mastery not known for curses.

If we could add one more RR to something, let it be bleeding on Blade trap, so that nightblade can have some more bleed support and make Blade trap more than a novelty (in fact, the recent addition of vitality RR to night’s chill should have went to Blade trap IMO)

Berserker is pretty dialed in I feel.

You forgot my favorite addition: extra chance to activate on WPS

Now that’s just provocative!

I wasn’t even including new tech used on itemization, since that wasn’t specific to the Berserker mastery.

(I’ll keep my personal desire to transform into a Chthonian Servitor instead Werewolf / Wereraven to myself)

BTW, Berserker is hype.

if there is a flaw with 'zerker is that it means some other stuff needs to get repolished
Leap+fault line is too impact and visually awesome, same with Cold Snap, even Rip 'n Tear as wolf looks more brutal than regular rush skills.
Avalanche ofc cooler looking than most avg wps, and even bloodfangs seems like it’s sorta “bigger” than shears
Also not sure if mandela/placebo LSD delusion, but chaos Talons somehow feels like it has way cooler FX than similar spiky or wave skills  - mebe i’m biased from chaos raven infatuation tho

Mechanically instant cast cry is good, but does lack that impact “oomph”, to compensate perhaps we should make it more OP and add some Petrify or Freeze to it too so the visual impact get raised :scorv:

Secondary Projectile Rain that scales with radius of the base skill (Hailstorm)

and yet you didn’t make new secondary modifier tech so it scales with mana cost, clearly evidence of phoning it in #LazyDevs :triumph:

Are you saying you put as much time into it as the other classes?
