For my next go around I wanted to try out an idea to see how it would work. I want to combine 2 of my favs (Nightshade & Shaman) with some pets. Skills I know I’d use from each line are:
Nightblade: Shadow Strike, Pneumatic Burst, Ring of Steel & Veil of Shadow
Shaman: Briarthorn, Grasping Vines, Mogdrogens Pact & Primal Bond
Relic: Nemesis (for the pet and +1 NB skills)
I am loving using a 2H weapon on my Elementalist and thought I’d try it with the Trickster as well since it would be easy to find a Shaman set to fit into the build. Perhaps using Beronath’s Fury for LMB & Shadow Strike for RMB. I’d need to have aoe damage devotion skill on at least one of those.
Nemesis’s pet doesn’t scale with pet bonuses, but player bonuses. So it doesn’t really synchronize well with a pet build.
You might have a better bet going for a Bleed Trickster, which Trickster does very well, with Primal Bond, Savagery, and Wendigo, proccing the NB dual wielding passives.
Game turns into Fabius farming simulator 2016 lategame, due to Bleed not working well on a lot of lategame enemies (But stomping Fab) but its a very viable way to play a Trickster.
Breath of Belgothian is a dw skills. If you use a 2h, you have a 10s CD pneumatic burst.
Why use Beronath’s Fury if you have Savagery? With a 2h weapon it work even better. And not a single point on the 2handers line (brute force, feral hunger and upheavel)??
As boring as it may be, Ultos is your best bet on a 2h shaman. The weapon also has a proc that give you some more AoE, as it does the full set bonus.
Thanks for the feedback. As I mentioned it’s a build in progress I am just brainstorming right now. Having too much fun on my 2H Elementalist but this idea I want to try next… in some form.
