Blade Spirit worth investing in for a ranged Blade Master build?

Hi guys,

Currently running a ranged Blade Master build using pierce and bleed as my main damage types and Candence as my main attack. I’m dealing a decent amount of damage.

So my question is - is Blade Spirit worth investing in? It’ll help my whole damage from a distance but at endgame does it deal enough damage an is it’s AI good enough at pathfinding, targeting etc?

Also does its damage scale with devotion, item investment etc so if I equip and item or select a devotion that gives + % to pierce damage does that bonus get passed on to the Blade Spirit?

In your instance: just for proccing devotions (so 1 point).

By the way, focus on one damage (I suggest Pierce) to improve your damage output and overall performance.

It’s AI is pretty derpy in that Blade Spirits will first cast their shotgunning attack from range and then engage in melee. They also won’t proactively engage enemies unless you order them with Pet Attack, but even then they are leashed to you and will return once they are over 15m away

Yes, it should, but their baseline damage is pretty low so I think it takes a Chillwhisper build to have them perform somewhat satisfactory.
