Bleeding relic.

Hey, i’m actualy trying chaman with bleeding build (devouring swarm +wendigo totem), is level 35.
I just checked to my craft and it seems there is not good relic for this kind of build. The only i saw was for nightblade, with some piercing, then more melee build…And i had also checked mythical, i think i have near all relic to craft.

Did i forgot one relic???

And now i’m wandering if this kind of build can be useful on ultimate, BoC and SoT…? All information/video/build link is welcome.

Thanx for your answer and sorry for my low english.

Are you pure Shaman or did you picked a second mastery? If you picked Nightblade along with Shaman, Slaughter relic (i think this is the one you mentioned) is a pretty good relic for bleeding builds. Only other relic that has bleed damage is Oleron’s Wrath and it’s for Soldier mastery.

I saw this relic, but it’s more fore melee build with piercing (the proc is dual wielding) and for the moment i’m only shaman. I hesitate between occultist and nightblade.

And even if this relic were for my build there should not have mythical one…

I think i will use bleeding during leveling and i’ll change later. And i’m waiting for someone with experience but i think devoring swarm is not adapted for end game or just like a support for another main skill.

I hope crate will give their chance at this kind of build in the newt patch.

I thought bone talisman is maybe the only decent relic…
No one can tell me something about end game with this kind of build?

you definitely won’t be able to rely on Devouring swarm (DS) end game, at least as your primary attack. For a bleed build, DS is less about applying a bleed and more about reducing the bleed resist. The way bleed builds work best is by stacking a LOT of different bleed sources to get major damage tics. you’ll want to pick up other skills/devotions/gear proc with bleeds. Most bleed builds will throw rend on DS so you can get both bleed res reductions at the same time, and then pile on the other bleed sources!

I made a bleeding warder and I agree, the relics for bleed are really poor. I used rampage most of the time until I could make Oleron’s Wrath. I did use Zeal for a little bit just for the extra OA and the attack/crit damage from the proc…although I think Rampage still preformed better… If you do go trickster, then the obvious choice is to pick up slaughter and also where you’ll stop. If you go conjure route, I’d stick with rampage unless you have a lot of other pierce damage (which is probably unlikely) for slaughter and then get Oleron’s wrath. Unfortunately there isn’t a good bleed relic with shaman or occ + skills on it. :frowning: That can hurt… But a conjurer has two bleed resist reduction sources…

Yeah, there is no good relic for non-soldier physical or bleed build. I found Oleron’s Rage being very good for my physical/bleed Conjurer, despite it provides +1 to soldier skill and soldier skill bonuses. Zeal is also great, IF your crit chance is high enough to crit during its proc, and you have decent bonuses to bleed duration as well.
I planned to make pure physical build, but bleed comes along with physical so often, that i decided to boost both damage types, instead of focusing on just one.

Zeal was nice for some crazy blade arc/laceration crits… So much crit damage with laceration, clean sweep and zeal…just so unpredictable… and that 2 second window is short…

Pairing another damage source like physical/piercing (and even internal trauma if you go warder) definitely helps. Especially with undead and obsidian mobs… Resist reductions help, but another damage source is huge too!

Another nice thing about Oleran’s Wrath is that it add some more AoE. I don’t know how a bleeding conjurer does with AoE, but it can be somewhat lacking on a warder, especially before completing Oleron’s fury constellation. The best AoE I use is BA but it is with clean sweep so it has a cool down. I think a trickster still has decent AoE so slaughter for the +1 nightblade skills would still be better for them.

Actually, AoE on Oleron’s Wrath is pathetic. It’s almost melee. Proc is too unpredictable for AoE, often happens when no enemies are close (cause lt procs off CoF).
And my Savagery conjurer still has decent AoE, because of FH+upheaval+Falcon+Rend+Maul.
Usually, you have troubles with single targets, not packs. Furthermore, players usually just ignore packs, because all good loot drops from heroes and bosses only.

On mine I just used the Shaman relic that gives lightning damage because I use Savagery as a default and figured the extra damage can’t hurt plus it boosted me more than Rampage was doing at the time. Giving +1 to all my skills helps too.
