I agree on BoD and P-Burst being an aura.

But not everyone has the same tastes as I so I guess there should be an option where you can choose whether or not it’ll be an aura or a spell.

I’d like to +1 this, even though I’m new.

I basically couldn’t stand playing an Occultist after about an hour, thanks to this reapplying every 30 seconds thing, when it’s clearly meant to be an always-up buff. Since it’s clearly one of the cornerstone powers of the class, if not -the- cornerstone power (I’ve yet to see any build which includes Occultist but does not include Blood of Dreeg), that means I basically have one less class to play. Or… more accurately… six.

I get that some people enjoy it. I can’t for the life of me figure out why they would, but some people enjoy some very strange stuff, so hey… but the Transmuter idea is great. Please do this and enable this class for people like me!

Still stand by this and i hope it’s never turned into an aura because how great the heal is in pet builds. Maybe a transmuter to make it into an aura, but leave the base skill as it is.

I don’t know, maybe because it heals 28% of your hp at 16/16 ?

How bout they just make everything including attack skills auras, that way you don’t have to be bothered to push a button. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

The heal in the skill tells me something completely different. It’s meant to be strategically used and not constantly spammed. Also, Nightblade also has a similar skill called Pneumatic Burst, guess it’s another mastery you won’t play (not playing an entire class because of one skill is baffling to me).

Leave blood of dreeg as it be. IMO, it is good enough. it is only 1 from 2 instant heal of the game beside pneumatic burst.

The %health heal from it make it’s very good and better than only auras.

So I think if you don’t have any shortcut button left. You may set the number 9 and 10 slot to wheel up/wheel down. (scrolling up-down on mouse)

To make your control at right hand 4 (LMB/RMB/W-up/W-down) instead of 2. It may help you can use more skill than only focus on left hand.

That conclusion makes no sense to me. It has a heal, and then a TON of buffs. The buffs far outweigh the heal, especially considering the second part of BoD. How on earth do you think capping out your poison res should be done… Strategically? You want your res capped all the time, not just when you also happen to need a heal.

The healing effect is useful for many buids as survivability-complement. Leave BoD as it is, is one of the only 2 direct healing skills in the game right now…

Come on, the buff lasts much longer than the cooldown. Even with zero CDR you have an entire 15 second window to recast the spell before the buff expires. And if in those 15 seconds the need to cast it doesn’t come up, just refresh the buff. People have been doing the same with Pneumatic Burst in every single Nightblade build as well.

That’s what I do. Somehow it’s not what others do. Lot of Occultist builds around here that rely on BoD to deal with poison red.

Would a trsnsmuter to make it an aura be so bad, for those who want the buffs, not the heals?

I have some Occultists that do rely on the Poison/Acid resist from BoD/AotG. My current Vitality Conjurer does. I also have other Occultists that passively have all their resists sorted out and use BoD for the heal. (while also gaining the benefits of AotG’s Physical Resist…)
