blueprints are an absolute nightmare/MI's should have their own rarity tier

i started a fresh save for the expansion, and everything about the ‘new player’ experience has been fantastic short of two things:

  1. blueprints are super frustrating, mostly with regards to relics. they’re bad enough when you’re just hunting for level 94 recipes, but trying to get level 60/70 relics (and shard of beronath) is extremely painful. this is especially problematic because not only are some of said relics are still best in slot for some builds, but they’re also required to craft the level 90 relics. the level disparity when you’re farming at 100 makes them incredibly rare, and i’ve found that the fastest way to acquire them is to level a character to 60-70 and just farm treasure troves, but this still takes an eternity (and is incredibly mind-numbing).

the game really needs some kind of failsafe for the 60/70 relics, something like adjusting the roguelike vendors’ wares on elite/ultimate to always sell mythical relics would go a long way, or even letting the malmouth resistance MI vendor sell 60/70 mythicals on ultimate. if you can make it to ultimate act 5 using your class’s level 35 relic (which i’ve had to do a few times), you deserve to be able to buy the level 60/70 one.

  1. MI’s are annoying to scan for in a sea of green items. the game is now at a point where MIs are bountiful, and short of them technically being rare items, there’s no reason for them to share a colour-code with the ever-abundant greens. it makes scanning the screen a headache during regular gameplay, and makes restarting the game mandatory after a few rounds of the crucible due to all the loot in the chests.

loot filters completely changed the way path of exile feels as a game, and while grim dawn doesn’t need anything as complex as what path of exile offers, the option to hide regular greens while allowing for MIs would make the farming experience feel a lot smoother.
