Bonjour à tous !

That means “Hello all” !

I discovered Grim Dawn last year (with their first pics revealed), but I decided to register to the forum only few days ago.

I come from Belgium and speek French and a few English. So, sometimes my english could be very ugly, apologize me ^^
I am 25 year old and I’m achieving a master in biomedical sciences (that’s laboratory research).

I’m a great fan of TQ and his extension. I discovered Hack&Slash with this game.
I was immediately seducted by the storyline (antiquity mythology) and the environments (greece, egypt, and beyond). (And obvious, by the game style and design).
Also, I find the masteries system very interesting, with lots of skills and combos.
After playing the game from every angle, cooperating in LAN with 2 to 4 friends (the best aspect of the H&S according to me) (but I never played on an internet server, wasn’t interested), testing Lilith campaign mod, etc… I was looking for another H&S.

I was so sad to hear the collapse of the Iron Lore studio, so I decided to try Diablo 2 (yes, I never played it before). I found the game exceptional and was surprised by the similarities between the 2 games. Despite lots of good ideas, I found the skill tree very annoying compared to TQ:IT. But I enjoyed random levels and dark story.
Same in World of Warcraft, a game I played during 1 month with a free game and subscription received from Blizzard, a skill tree never comparable with TQ:IT shape.
Then I discovered Torchlight, a far good game, but lack of LAN stop me playing quickly after I finished the game.
In the same time, I heard upcoming of Diablo 3. I was very happy to wait the arrival of a new quality H&S with LAN (until recently, as you all know, useless to explain again why ^^).

The best was last year, when I heard that rests of Iron Lore were reforged into Crate Entertainment, with a new project named “Grim Dawn” and based on the TQ engine. I needed no more to bookmark this website and follow the news
I’m so happy to rediscover the game mechanics (masteries!) in this new darker storyline!

So… If I’m here, it’s to bring a little help to the game development in debating on forum topics and spreading the word to other people about a future great game, no doubt :stuck_out_tongue:

See you!

Welcome! There’s no better way to shape up on your English than to actively use the language

As you can imagine, we’re all eagerly awaiting Grim Dawn. Enjoy your stay!

Bonjour Stefouch, comment allez vous?

That’s just about the extent of the French I remember from taking it in middle school. That was a long time ago. Anyway, great to have you on the forum.

I don’t remember hardly any French at all, I could count in french but not anymore, so English is the only thing I speak, (even though my spelling is off at times)

but anyway, Hi and welcome to another new member, nice to see more and more joining the ranks of the community

Hello Stefouch
