Bought from steam; upgrading editions and expansions

Hi everyone,

So I bought GD from Steam last night before I even knew there were different editions available from the developer website. Based on what I’ve read, all content will be made available via keys as Steam currently has no way to distinguish between the different support versions of GD.

Are the developers planning on adding the ability to upgrade to Patron or Loyalist via Steam for those of us who have already bought and blew through the 2-hour restriction on refunds?

Will the expansion be made available to purchase on Steam or do I need to buy the Loyalist version?

The items available are all cosmetic or do they confer some type of advantage in-game?

Thanks for the clarification!

You cannot upgrade from a Steam copy of Grim Dawn to one of the versions on the web site.

There is no way to buy the extra virtual items from the Patron or Loyalist packages from the web site. No concrete plans for creating DLC for these items. These items are cosmetic in nature.

Future expansions would be purchaseable as DLC.

Thanks!

Ok, so Crate is planning on adding the expansion DLC to Steam for those of us who purchased via that platform.

Also, in regards to Survival Mode, I assume that this will be added via update to all owners of the game, regardless of tier purchased? No need to redeem a key for this feature?

I ask because of this: “Survival mode will be a new mode available after the game’s release, free for all backers (via Kickstarter or through our website’s pre-order).” which makes it unclear…
