Brimstone for meele

Is it possible to change Brimstone so that melee attacks also splinter into fragment? I try to edit this skill but no success T_T

In order to make changes in the original skills from masteries work, you need to create a copy of the file, do your changes inside it and then replace the path to it in the corresponding skilltree (records/skills/playerclass02/_classtree_class02.dbr for you)

Then you need to adjust the ui to display your changed skill as it otherwise will only show a red x instead of your changed skill.

For you that would be records/ui/skills/class02/skill07.dbr

Open it and go to config -> skillName and replace the path there by the path to your copied skill.

Save and build your mod. You now should have a working Brimstone projectile modifier for meele attacks.

Warning: do not use this mod with a character that already has brimstone skilled as it otherwise will be deleted and your skillpoints lost. Before starting this mod with a character that already has Brimstone skilled, go to the spirit guide and unlearn it. Then you can start the mod and relearn the skill.

If you want to play without the mod again, you’ll need to do the same to prevent losing mastery points.

Thank for your reply. What field should i change in skill07.dbr? I read all the field in this file but i cant find one that related to meele or range or condition to have projectile (i try the field weapon depency but it doesnt work)

How do you get it to work with a melee weapon

You cannot get the fragments to spawn via melee, short of redesigning the skill into a proc.
