Another hotfix: v0.2.5.6 fixes some community localization issues.
Damn, see what happens when a machinist gets back to work. We miss out on all the good stuff
Congrats on the new release, downloading now.
just finish SOT again, i have see how Akantos has dropt his weapon then the weapon has gone is just disappear and some doors i think was in 5 floor not working i can just pass trough the one and the other behind me i can’t pass(this doors was near the last boss Akantos).
there is a switch you have to destroy the gain access to the last part of that area, just look around
ty need to chek that))
I feel the set rings that drop from alkamos should be tweeked a little.
One of the rings gives a 2% chance on hit to activate a ring of ice around you that deals cold and frostburn dmg. I feel the dmg is good but the 2% chance is just too low to make a feasible for a tank retaliator build. I would like to see the percentage increased to 5%.
is the change in the game allready? didnt see it in the patchnotes and cant check right now
Yes it is in the game, I have a BP build in act 2 that is using the new build. I found that leveling Bp to 12 in act 1 worked nicely by the time I reached the warden. In act 2 (and only then!) I started putting points into Wasting.
This skill is much more effective against undead now.
The best way to level it now if you don’t have any gear to buff its damage, is to put 5 points on it at character level 5 and then 1 point every level or 2 (from about level 7 to level 12 I think I only put one point on it) until you get to the wardens cellar then it has to be 1 point per character level. You should have it at 12 by the time you get to the warden.
Also you will need to stack cunning at about 3:1with other attributes( I put some into phys so I can access better armour).
This gave me the smoothest progression where the skill could be used to its best effect.
Obviously these numbers will need a little tweaking depending on your build.
Reaping Cascade seems to have been changed from an action skill to a percent chance on hit. Any other skills like this that have been changed that could go in the patch notes?
edit: Also Homebrewed Potion from Alchemist’s Belt
A lot of skills have been changed this way, as was hinted at in the patch notes.
Notable ones include the MIs of Zarthuzellan and Rodaldarthis (sp?) which makes my caster builds a bit sad.
Been playing through Act I with a new character since B19’s release. I absolutely love the constitution mechanic. Having the idea of hunger play a role in the game, fits in perfectly with Grim Dawn’s theme. It has become second nature to keep an eye on that yellow overlay and once it’s depleted, I find myself feeling a little anxious; at that point actively looking for food becomes a priority.
I wonder if this should not be made even more vital; for example, once constitution is completely depleted, why not let your health also start to drop very slowly? Much like being poisoned, with the difference of it not stopping until you find food. Or have your skills not be as sharp when you’re exceedingly hungry. However, for this to work properly, you should be able to keep a few pieces of food in your inventory, maybe have a separate compartment for food only? It would be fitting for your character to rely on food to keep him/her alert.
I really hope Crate keeps this mechanic intact for the final game. They might even consider some product placement as another revenue stream, by adding a few KFC’s in Arkovia.
Uh, no. The purpose of OOC is to keep you moving on to the next battle. The purpose of Constitution was to limit OOC during a particular battle, like a boss fight.
The idea of losing health when Constitution is depleted, defeats the purpose in the first place, because now you’ve got to hunt around for food.
I sure hope this is a joke!
Was playing B19 a bit now and I really like the new mechanic of constitution. Think you guys solved the issue with OOC regen quite nicely!
I was playing my previously leveled pyromancer and got very badly beaten beyond the gates of anguish… in that first room that locks you in:) and that was even in normal mode. Seemed to be too much of a glass cannon…
Currently leveling a dualing wielding commando tank, and when facing Cronley (veteran mode) I experienced those insanely huge numbers of summoned monsters, but I made it without dying once:) So let’s see if this new build is up to the steps of torment beyond the gates of anguish.
Anyway, I really like the improved difficulty of the veteran mode a lot. Especially those freakin huge numbers of monsters was great! Any more of that sort of events is highly welcome, imo.
I’ve been grumbling about the new constitution mechanic while playing with my old characters. I’ve recently created a new Commando character and must admit haven’t even noticed a problem with Constitution, it dropped a bit occasionally but never did I run out or have trouble healing or finding food or essence.
I’ve so far just killed Cronley and will have to see how SoT and other places go.
I was all jacked for B19. Started brand new characters. Rushed a vet summoner to level 26. Took care of the warden so I could move to Act 2. Rushed to Smugglers Cave expecting to start on to all the new ?s out there. Bah humbug, was met by the captain.
Not yet.
Have gotten use to the new regen system, just seems like extra thing to do. more junk to litter the area and thing to remember where I saw meal. Now instead of running away to stop and recharge, need to hunt for food which takes more time.
EDIT: Has any body tried a lightning build. I don’t see any character that can lend itself to pure lightning
Why would you expect to see anything past smugglers cave? Just curious.
Also, yes, I am currently building an all Lightning Commando.
http://www.twitch.tv/grimmestdawn/b/539252729 (go to later in the broadcast, she’s stronger then)
Currently it implements Stun Jacks, Ulzuin’s Wrath and lightning rod (sword)
i also got a full lightning build, pretty hard to create IMO but when you got to lvl 35 it is pretty decent, i am using stunjacks, skyfire grenado, unquenchable flame and ulzuin’s wrath
so far i got 80 - 600 lightning damage, with a modifier of 260, it isn’t my strongest but it will do the job
Act 3 will start after cave. My craven mind thought B19 was start of act 3. All those ?s have been on the map quite awhile
Will take a look at your commando.
Dikkiedik: do you have a post of your character?
It will become obvious when Act 3 will be available. To expect act 3 when there hasn’t been any mention of it besides progress in creating it is rather… interesting imo.
As I said just my craven mind, trying to rush things.
Haven’t noticed anything in it that interest me. No interested in two hand weapons of any kind.
