Hey All! Im brand new to GD, and breaking into the forums for the first time to research builds and guides. But I have a question. Maybe Im being totally mindless, but it seems like all the build guides I read go into great detail on what gear and stats they have using grimtools link. But many seem to leave out what they picked in skill trees and devotions. :undecided:
So am I missing something? Is there a way to view chosen skills/devotions tucked into the guides that Im missing? Or is it that certain guides just decide to leave this information out? (It seems like a lot do)
Hey - I’m also new to the game. Lots of great resources for builds, but I wish there was a little more step by step in them.
For example, newbies like myself don’t ever know what base classes make combo classes like witchblade or kabalist (had to search a few ppl laces for this basic info).
Then which key powers you should take at different parts of the build, rather than just the endpoint powers.
In any case, does anyone have more beginner friendly build resources we should be particularly paying attention to?
Hey, man, welcome to Grim Dawn and these forums. You should spend some times in Guides and Tutorials section of this forum, right next to the one we are in currently.
Browsing Grimtools also helps a bit, especially when opening other people’s guides.
But more there anything, you can just play the game, choose class combo/playstyle that you like the most at the moment and just enjoy it. In Normal and Elite it’s not that hard even with half-assed build, and all skill/attribute points distribution are reversible. You will learn a lot of stuff in the process. As soon as you are going to be nearing Ultimate, just spend ~30 minutes reading forums and you’ll be all right. A lot of beginner guides here.
Find the new player knowledge compendium in the Guides and Tutorials forum (hard for me to find links on mobile, so can’t link it). That also includes some newbie builds that you can use with basically no gear.
