Make sure there’s enough building materials available, bonus points if it’s stored nearby. Roads do take time and if your builders are looking for food all the time or lacking entertainment they’ll work slower. Calm down building stuff, fill out your production buildings for a couple years and make sure there’s tools available. The building que doesn’t make much sense regardless sometimes. Best of luck!
