Welp, for more than 20 years I have had no health problems while gaming, and then here comes Grim Dawn and suddenly I find myself playing it for 21 hours in the first 48 hours after the purchase. And soon after this madness I cant comprehend how I cant pick up an empty cup or twist my wrist. Then I shot a quick look at my steam hours and it slowly sank.
Still not decided whether to express my most sincere thanks or my most hateful fuck you.
sounds like me! thats awesome. def a thank you and also it’ll help your hands if you position yourself with your keyboard below the level of your heart. so if your chair is a little higher and arms end up stretching lower. you’ll have better bloodflow and no aches after long hours. also a lot water helps
First of all, do you know you can hold the key instead of wildly clicking everything around to attack stuff?
Second, I put these attacks on the keyboard only. Cadence for example while activating healing / buff of my choice on Wheel up / down, another potion on an extra button of my gaming mouse. LMB only for charging skills like shadow strike, blitz, chaos strike etc (if its not the main attack! If so I put them also on keyboard)
This way it is very confortable and relaxing to play GD for me.
I use LMB for movement, never use right click, and stuff all else onto the keyboard. I usually cycle bars for auras, to save space. Much more comfortable to hold Q to attack rather than left click.
That said, I have still ended up giving myself “gamer palm” from that, but that’s mostly because I play on a laptop.
