Please add a button to move the camera to a building’s current work area. When you have a number of Foragers and Work Camps working around the map, it’s hard to remember where they’re all working. I’d like to be able to click on a building and then jump to the area to make sure there is still work there to do. This would be most useful for the forager, but would be useful for other building types too.
The button could be placed beside where you click to choose a new work area.
If they don’t want to make more space in the GUI, the set work area button can be halved to allow the top half to set a new work area and the bottom half to jump to an existing work area. This of course means the default work area being right on the building, would reset the view to the building so there will never be a case where there is no work area. Barn fodder area might be the exception.
Go to your Professions popup, next to the profession (e.g. Work Camp) click on the magnifying glass repeatedly, it will move from person to person and their window will tell you if they aren’t able to work, then it’s up to you to figure out why.
Thanks for the suggestions. Finding it based on person only works if the person happens to be in the area they are harvesting, which won’t be the case a lot of the time for hunters and gatherers. And then you need to figure out what building they are working out of if you have more than one.
Ctl1-4 might be a workaround for now, for 4 buildings anyway. A button in the building screen would still be easiest I think.
Regarding finding where the workers for a specific building are at: click the worker in question and it’ll jump the screen right to them, centred and tracking on them. What I’d really like to see is an addition to the worker’s top icons (Where Am I? Where Do I Live? Close) that adds: Where Do I Work? (greyed out if they don’t have employment).
