Been out of the loop on theorycrafting. Any critiques on this build or should it serve me well through Ultimate? The idea is to concentrate on Vitality/Poison pets and buff them using curses and BoD/BoB. Devotions go towards the south to grab the two big hitters in the pet build.
I may put a point or two into the Hellhound depending on gear or respec into 50/50 if gear allows but this is the main foundation for the build.
If you could at all bring rotting fumes up, I’d highly suggest it. It makes a surprising difference in how hard the pets hit and how often you and the pets get hit.
I’ve played with just about everything for skellie devotion proc and Flame Torrent is hands down winner. Especially if you use pet attack button. You can just park them under big bad guys and instanuke them. I’ll be terribly surprised if that doesn’t get fixed/nerfed soon.
Hmm, i couldn’t find a way to get bysmiels bonds and fiend in same build without sacrificing mogdrogens howl or rattosh. So my question is is it really worth it dumbing bysmiels bonds for flame torrent?
Yeah thats a bit of a downside, sure needs some testing, we will see
Dont forget the extra Vitality Damage for pets of Typhos, maybe this could equal the lost RR of manticore.
I recommend picking up the Hellhound. Towards the end of the game, if you’re able to find it, there’s an item set that gives points to hellhound, blight fiend and summon skeletons, that’ll give you an extra skeleton, and a second hellhound! which is pretty neat.
Yeah but i don’t have it and being ssf player i won’t expect to get it any time soon ^^ So don’t know if the hellhound is good idea for now, it’s always easy to respec.
I’m not saying THIS build doesn’t need the RR but I was pleasantly surprised at how little Skelemancer needed it with the route I went. I’d advise doing some serious controlled testing between the two setups before finalizing on keeping the RR. There may be a surprise waiting (or not).
Yes flame torrent is op with skeles. The skill alone with just basic pet damage % rips most things. I have noticed even if you don’t stack elemental/fire damage for pets it still wrecks. The thing that is cool about grim dawn is personal likes and dislikes are widely available but this is one skill that is a must with skeles. Good luck!!
This is my build currently and it is subject to change in fact it has already from when I posted this video 2 days ago but it is still using flame torrent. And I did change my right click to pet attack because I did notice making skeles run next to a mob does huge damage.
I also moved points around a bit I ended up dropping hellhound and blight fiend down to base rank 1. I ended up boosting hellfire etc for more fire chaos damage.
