I’m leveling a 2H DK right now and I have all four WPS for both soldier and necro invested in (trying to concoct my own creation!). I decided to respec one point into Cadence for no reason other than to see the animation for it. Now, I know I’ve read that the actual Cadence strike does NOT proc any WPS. But I noticed that I saw the animations for my WPS happening on the Cadence strike itself, such as the red aura from Reaping Strike and the slam from Markovian’s Advantage.
Did something change allowing the Cadence strike to be affected by WPS now? Or has it always shown those animations if they are present, but nothing really happens additionally?
Interesting! I am keen to test this when I get around to making a DK.
I know my from my blademaster that WPS animation and damage can proc during a Cadence attack, however only one of the hits during that attack is Cadence (not modified by the WPS) with the remaining one or two hits being that of the WPS proc’d.
I thought it was only possible during a dual wield proc, but it seem Cadence is stranger than that!
AFAIK there is a difference between individually clicking on something and holding your mouse button down, as far as the animation goes.
Close. The difference is actually dependent on how fast you attack. So if you click wait click wait you will never see the WPS proc. If you click fast or hold down attack you get the WPS effect. Makes it hard to analyze! Had to download OBS and record a few minutes of attacking in different ways to figure it out.
