I’m hoping to get advice from more experienced members here on DW cadence damage calculations as my testing efforts are just adding to my confusion. Does a cadence discharge follow the same percentage chance for L/R/LR hits as a default attack? If so, does this mean an LR hit results in X% weapon damage being applied for both weapons? If not, which weapon is used in the X% weapon damage calculation?

When dual wielding you have 25% chance of hitting with your main hand, 25% chance hitting with your off-hand and 50% chance hitting with both at the same time. .

As for Cadence. On every third hit it is only your MAIN hand damage applied. In between the above applies with added weapon procs to it maybe, such as exectution.

Bonus question: Do X% weapon damage calculations on WPS skills when dual wielding use MH only as well?

No, in between cadence procs, when NB wps procs or Markovian Advantage they hit with both weapons. Only Zolhan’s Technique hits with main hand only.

Extra credit bonus question: What is the order of calculation for damage inflicted by MA? Taking it straight from the in-game description order it would like something like this at 12/12:

(((base weapon damage + flat damage bonuses)*individual %damage bonuses per type)*1.1 + (122 physical damage*bonus % physical damage))*1.25

Is this correct, or is there an underlying order of calculation that applies instead?

FLat damage on skills is not applied to the %weapon dmg part. If it did you would one shot everything:p

Not exactly. Firstly the 1.25 is an ‘individual %damage bonuses’ that count for all types. Also you have to account for damage conversion which is a bit tricky. I think this would be more correct, tho I could be wrong:

((((base weapon damage + flat damage bonuses) X 1.1) + 122) X 1.25 {don’t multiply yet!}) split formula by damage conversion %) Add %dmg bonus from everything other than the skill to the 1.25 from the skill) X by flat damage!

The tricky part is the % conversion and I’m guessing you at least have some pierce conversion.

AFAIK its 25/25/50 main/offhand/both hands. Somewhere in bugs there was a question to Zantai about dual-wielding cadence tooltip displaying 2 numbers for damage. We thought it should hit with both hands and this doesn’t appeared and Zantai said that this is intended to be 50/50 main/offhand Cadence hit though there was a bug of 0 dmg with offhand hit then procced both hands and they addressed it as fixed in some of the later patchnotes.
