i downloaded grimdawn stash. i have the zip folder open and i have no idea what to do. i have been on google for an hour now. i need this or something similar because i want to play softcore but all my chars are on hardcore. This is very frustrating.
unzip it wherever you want and read the documentation in the doc subdir, no need for Google 
Basically, make sure you have a Java JRE installed, ideally the 64bit version (if you are on a 64 bit OS). Specify, the install and save dir and import the GD data. After that you are set. To change your char, go to the ‘Char Editor’ screen, uncheck the ‘Hardcore’ flag and save the char.
If you use cloud save, make sure to only do so while not having GD running.
i dont really understand this is my first time installing a mod. I had all the stuff extracted to a folder. Nothing i click on seems to do anything. I installed java 64bit and my saves are local. What exactly do i click on to get it running? Again ive never done this before thats why im so clueless.
There should be a .jar file in the dir (largest file in it) and double-clicking it should start the tool. If it does not, some other program than Java snatched that extension. Installing Java should fix that.
Alternatively double-clicking the .bat should also start it, but make sure the path to java.exe in it matches your system first (use any text exitor to edit it).
