I am messing around with Lethal Assault. I am trying to change it so that it provides a large attack speed bonus and rapidly drains your energy while the passive buff active.
I have tried modifying the ‘Cast Config’ table, adding skillActiveManaCost and skillActiveLifeCost. Neither of these have any effect while the buff is active (why are they in the template?).
I have tried setting a negative mana regeneration modifier, this seems to have no negative effect on mana regen.
I have tried changing the Lethal Assault template to skillBuff_debuff and set an offensive mana burn. This works, but I can no longer provide a passive buff when this is applied. Is there a way to trigger a buff and debuff with the same skill modifier? I see how I could add a mana burn debuff as a pre-requisite to the buff skill, but that seems dumb.
I have also tried creating new skill templates to combine debuff with buff, and also tried adding in the skill_modifier variables and groups, but have had no success because the asset manager cannot save them correctly.
