Noob can’t pickup iron bits. I see them but they disappear. What am I doing wrong
Are you sure you aren’t just picking them up? Because your character picks them automatically when they get near the iron bits, you don’t need to click on the iron bits to pick them up.
Welcome to the forum. 
If you’ve ticked the auto pickup box in the ingame Options menu (it’s off by default) then you will collect iron, components, consumables and crafting materials automatically as soon as you’re in range of them.
Thanks for the help. But where do they go? I don’t see any iron bits in my stash or my personal inventory. Are they stored somewhere else?
They increment the little number underneath your character in the inventory screen.
They’re not physically on you. You just have the total in your character window when you are at vendors.
