Chaos Pyromancer build critique

Hey all,

So I’m working on my pyromancer and roughly following this guide:

However, I made a few changes to it because I feel going 50/50 is too many points and a 50/25 distribution would be better with the defensive devotions he has listed:

Opinions? Do I really need Possession for ultimate? Any efficient ways to get Ulzuin’s in devotions?

Thanks for the help!

What kind of weapon are you using?

As for devotions, I am hoping to post a build this week that has 5 each in Ulzuin’s and Abom. Possession was completely unnecessary in my case.

Exterminus (if I can find one).

So my build, without Possession, should be Ultimate viable?

Ooh, nice proc on that.

I can’t say for sure. My build is 2h Melee and I didn’t need it. You’ve passed up quite a bit of attack speed. In particular, I’d flip the points in Solael and Second Rite. The flat chaos damage and attack speed from SWF is more valuable than the vitality damage and %chaos damage in second rite. You can also recover some points from vulnerability and sigil once you have +skill gear, which you could add to vindictive flame.

Hmmm… I’m going for more of a caster build but would like the %chaos buff rather than attack speed no?

Yeah, still wondering on Possession because it seems a waste to spend 38 points to get it, 1 point in Doom Bolt, and 25 points in Occultist mastery if not needed. the 12% damage absorption is quite nice though…

If you plan to actually shoot stuff with the pistol regularly, go SWF. if only for the proc, stay as is.

Yeah, I’m going mainly caster build. Any recommendations for devotions? I was debating about going full offensive to get Ulzuin’s.

You don’t have to go full offensive to get Ulzuin’s. You can still get Chariot and Behemoth, for instance.
