My laptop took a crap a few months back and I haven’t had a computer until recently. I just redownloaded Grim Dawn in hopes of buying the new xpac and get back into the game. I have well over 600 hours in and when i logged in all my characters are gone? are they gone forever? they arent saved somewhere on the servers, the only save was on my laptop which is long gone? hope this isnt the case as i was really excited to try the new content 
Steam cloud save would be the only option. (Don’t know about GoG).
Did you have cloud save on?
Do you have cloud save on now? Be sure to check Steam settings and GD Game options.
I always have/had cloud saves active in game and on steam but nothing has updated in my game, I am thinking im SOL at this point, so frustrating. I guess it gives me a reason to start fresh but it just sucks Ive lost all of my gear i farmed hours and hours for.
