Cold Drain Essence Reaper Leveling and Endgame setup 1.2.1.6 - 1.3

I have to indeed
Got any links?

is that sheet or effective? - i’m assuming not sheet since shammy doesn’t boost DE as such outside RR (mebe blood pact a lil)

only thing that matters is sheet dps :stuck_out_tongue: - i can’t be bothered to measure things with DPYes for levelling

The way I look at this is that I will need Ill Omen eventually, because no Reaper (not even this beast) stays alive for long without Ill Omen and Mark of Torment. So, may as well get it into the rotation early. But YMMV.

Do you time your Mark of Torment for special hits or do you just spam it off CD?

you can technically take Yugol if you want full passiveness, but Omen is just better (also means better devo map without Yugol)

interruption every 5secs isn’t necessarily that huge of a deal, and you can sorta leave it for just hard hitting targets.

big hits or sunder

I mostly use it on CD, but not if the situation is very unthreatening. It’s hard to say what is optimal, but I think it’s usually a mistake to keep active defensive skills in reserve and better to go for high uptime.

I get it that reflecting Sunders back could improve the kill times, but at the same time if you don’t mind fighting for a couple extra seconds I don’t see a reason to eat sunders (especially on HC).
The entire sentiment of “you need MoT to survive” packed with eating sunders to me looks like this:

Granted as of now I only played Necromancers as summoners or just tanky calsses (SnB oppressor) so I survived well without pressing two extra buttons, but it is what it is.

not why i do it, it’s to survive follow up dmg on a sunder
the whole “i’ll eat sunder to get 1% more dps” i’ve found to be very risky

edit. also bosses have this

Right. One definite case where it’s worth saving MoT is for those bosses that have hard-to-avoid sunders, where it’s almost certainly you’ll be eating it.

benji crystals

other non sunder stuff could me MQ rage buff
Kymon belly burst if you’re not confident
Voldrak slam etc

Ritualist has the most firepower from all DE specs ( of course less QoL than Reaper and Oppressor and less sustain) , simply because Ugdenbog Howler is broken in combination with Devouring swarm that’s alone is nearly -80% Vit res on enemies , if you check leveling footages bosses melt in 3 seconds, at level 60 you basically out damage most meme(budget) endgame setups is that ridiculous

Hi, just started this build. Never used the loot filter before i think, what should i set it to for leveling? i’ve turned off white and yellow drops, but starting to get too many greens to check quickly and continue on. Thanks

pick up the greens and sell for iron bits, you will need those later for crafting etc

My typical flow when levelling is to grab everything green and only check them when I’m deciding what to sell. I’ve assigned a hotkey for picking up the nearest ground item to make this quicker.

Or sometimes I just sell everything and then use the shop search filter to search for something I need. (Like “chaos resistance” if I need that and I want to see if any of the stuff I just sold has it.)

When you reach higher levels, you can just sell everything green that isn’t a monster infrequent, as normal greens are not part of this or any build.

Whoah, that’s a neat trick, thanks!

Hi, could you explain why do we choose Master of Death (exclusive Nec skill) instead of Harbinger of Soul ? The build doesn’t have pet, does it ?
