I guess if they keep a save backup and copy it on every rip then we could call that a fine experimantation with extra steps, haha

How is it doing after nerf?
Just finished Fangs on Ascendant without any ascendant bonuses; it works very well.

This guide is great! I’m up to Level 87 and have started making it through Ultimate. I was wondering if there’s any guide on the best rare/legendary gear? I have a bunch and am not sure when I should use the gear in the Grim Tool links, and when my gear is better.
Endgame spec is basically best in slot items ,but leveling spec can be adjusted to your items if you feel you have upgraded
Is Soulrend good for farming at early level 100? I’ve been giving it a shot, and it seems effective. But I’m not sure what I’m sacrificing in 1H and shield.
It’s not very good for this build.
Soulrend has great stats and gives lots of necromancer/nightblade skillpoints so I can see why it might seem good. But:
- you lose a lot of AoE potential from the shield, as well as damage
- The high damage and life steal on the weapon does not apply to Drain Essence, which is a spell that does not have a weapon damage component. (The weapon on the budget build does add a bit, but the scythe does not.)
- Soulrend is designed for cooldown builds. It does not increase your casting speed like the shield and sword do.
I’d just focus on looking for the Chillwhisper set by farming monster totems/shattered realm. You only need to find the helmet blueprint and then craft 4, transmute the other pieces, and you’re done. That will help you much more.

So I was leveling up a Conjurer, main focus being bleed Bloody Pox.
But the longer I played it, the more annoying the seemingly small infection radius got. Way too often I had to cast the pox an additional 2-3 times to snag the stragglers walking about.
I sure wish there was a way to increase it’s radius.
With that said, was thinking to try a Drain Essence build on the side, see what it’s all about (I do like the whole “chance to affect 3/6/9 targets”).
With clunk-less gameplay, survivability and sustainability being a high priority, I assume that the Reaper would be a better candidate than Ritualist, right? (even if it’s less DPS)

Yes ,also better quality of life ( you don’t have to cast Swarm on every pack ) and Reaper is overall better because set support

Yet another build for me to start leveling up lol.
I’ve yet to actually complete Ultimate on a build since the DLC dropped, let alone go into Ascended.
Been starting various new builds left and right.
But them’s are good problems to have.
One of these days I’ll probably also start some kind of “chance to reduce cooldown by X seconds on hit/crit” builds that have been sprouting up lately.
