So I have played about 50 hours, 2 characters; A nightblade, and a Battlemage, I have gotten somewhere into Act 2, but this game is HUGE, I took a break as the pace slowed down for me. I wanna finish the game, but was wondering if I should try and complete from the 1 of the 2 characters I have or start a new one?
If I start a new one is there a faster range DPS build that kills multi mobs?
and can still solo bosses without kiting?
If I continue with one of the two above, is there a guide I use for all quest and maps so I can sorta tell where I am and where I need to go?
I just clear out the fog of war on every map for the first time. You don’t want to miss shrines or one shot chests.
The game is more fun without guides imo. Just double check which shrines you may have missed at the end of normal. In ultimate the resistance guides are pretty helpful. Other than that pick something that sounds fun and go with it.
I’m with Bababooey that guides make the game less fun, however, if you are looking to just finish the game on normal as fast as possible:
The pokemon build guide is an easy peasy low gear requirement build that will smash through normal and elite. you need to start getting some good gear for ultimate though.
I know its not ranged, but using forcewave on a 2h weapon is a quick way to get through normal. its in the soldier tree. you can then respec later into guns and use cadence for single target deeps and some other trash clear skill.
if you aren’t interested in ultimate too much, then AAR is great skill for normal and elite. combine with mirror and devastation to clear every room and boss with ease.
definitely claim every shrine the devotion points are well worth it. use them to buff your tankiness or damage depending on how you intend to gear.
If you have the crucible DLC, it is even worth starting a new toon on the crucible till you have 7 devotinos points. after which they cost too much to do quickly. then start the main campaign. you should be able to smash through normal with the extra early levels and bonus devotion points.
another skill that may be worth building around is phntasmal blades. have that + regen + resist reduction, and you’re set. face tank all the way through to mid elite. then die because you got cocky and thought you can do the aether boss in act 3 without aether resist, AND it being 10 levels above you… DUH
