I’ve noticed that the mines get the little chevrons from Field Command when I toss 'em out.
Does that mean that Squad Tactics buff their damage as well?
No, they are player scaling pets so auras do not affect them directly. Anything that buffs your character will affect the mines however, so squad tactics can buff them through you. But it’s not doubling up the buff.
Well, that’s what I hoped for (eventhough technically it works differently, the result is the same - the mines are buffed).
This makes me want to take up Mortar as well, as I’d assume it would also get this synergy?
