What is the point of sudden change of prefix for conduit series? it straightly destroyed a few Conduit i have made for different build.

Before the rollback, there was a topic where many people criticised the old Conduits and asked for changes or improvements to many of them.
Then what is this nonsense:
I think they made the changes with being more drunk than before. I found this in the Conduit of Night Whispers on my Acid Dervish build just now after updated(haven’t been played for a few days). If i remember correctly, previously it was something of Acid Modifier to Execution, well, not very useful but at least fit in the build.
Now thanks to the drunk devs it becomes completely bullshit. Who in the world is gonna build a aether/chaos build with Nightblade? Really appreciated the “improvements” after thinking for so long. Genius move!
The WPS ones in particular were scrutinized. Plenty of people agreed that they weren’t effective enough on their own to take up an amulet slot (due to opportunity cost, the slot should be powerful) and that they weren’t fun to play with unlike some of the conversion options which offer unique ways of creating characters or playstyles, even if they are not all supported through items.

Off the top of my head, Soulare’s Helm is designed around an Aether EoR Dervish but it doesn’t have enough Aether RR. The Conduit helps with this a touch.
If there are any you still feel are lacking, feel free to make a case for them and why.
Do even think before post?
https://www.grimtools.com/db/itemsets/151 Rah’zin set is fit for that change…
Well, Rah’zin already have a necklace included in the set.

Maybe i am a bit overreact. Anyway, my main point is, Devs making changes/improvements/bug fixing is encouraged, myself is also web developer who agreed that a good product should be continuously maintained and refined along the process.
However, I don’t think making a lot of changes and hotfix to revert/modify items which are already being acquired and fit into build by players are really beneficial if the frequency is too high. Do remember the fact GD is practically a Single Player ARPG and the items are not easily obtained, especially those unique prefix/suffix from craftables(ignore me if you are GD-stasher). Maybe a better way is to work more on balancing the skills on characters and item procs. TBH, now even after nerf, Retaliation build is probably still the most OP build in SR.
That’s one of my favorite conduits. With magelord rings and Teo weapon, you can have beautiful dw aether melee Reaper:p
Of course the devs are too drunk to pay any attention to this thread.

If you have something constructive to say such as what else you’d rather see on the various Conduits then please do so.
Sorry boss, I admit being a bit overreact and using inappropriate wordings:(. Perhaps a bit too stressed over the recent buff/nerf just over a few weeks, had to adjust builds/characters and even abandoned some:rolleyes:.
Anyway, still love GD, probably gonna change the Conduit necklace to something else;). One suggestion could be for items like Conduit series with unique prefix/suffix from crafting, probably keeps the old prefix/suffix on the crafted items unchanged even the new patches changes/removes it.
It took a while to get a proper combination for my warring conduit and finding out it has been rerolled randomly with new useless affixes after the patch was pretty shitty.
there was nothing wrong with the fighting spirit unique affix, now it’s gone and replaced with yet more conversion bullshit, as if there wasn’t enough of it already.
Although I think Crate did a good job with the new affixes, I completely disagree with dumping the old ones no matter how shitty they were. The new affixes could have been added on top. The old ones could’ve been improved. WPS affixes could’ve been buffed or remodeled to support not one but two WPSes.
The problem if Crate added the new affixes will be,that the pool will be too big and you basically will never receive, what you need.On top of that the amount of new affixes is different for different masteries,so it will be strange if one class have more than other.Still people will complain losing valuable amulet, like fighting spirit one.
I’d rather them be rolled into new gear or existing underwhelming gear so that they can be enjoyed more widely.
If anyone has particular favorites you really miss from the old collection, let us know and we’ll see if we can fit them somewhere.
Block chance/damage blocked on Possession, pretty please.
There’s something greatly wrong with thinking your build can revolve around a buff that can only be up 1/3 of the time. Good riddance to bad Conduits.
I still think there are just too many “convert x skill to y damage” but from all the ones I’ve seen they look significantly more useful than before.
I think this sounds fantastic. In fact, given that the devs want to make sure that you aren’t required to spec into soldier or oathkeeper for shield synergy, I would expect more of these types of buffs to be added to other classes: either through itemization or straight up from skills.
100% aether to acid on Blood of Dreeg. Preferably somewhere easier to get.
