The most recent patch removed the +1 summon limit to Blade Spirit conduit prefix, and replaced it with something else. I think that instead of the +1 BS summon limit being removed, it should be re-added and the following Blade Barrier prefix ( https://www.grimtools.com/db/prefixes/10263 )should be the one which is replaced with the new prefix ( https://www.grimtools.com/db/prefixes/11265 ). The reasoning is that the +1 BS summon limit is a core item on several builds, none of which are OP or top meta but which are nonetheless good and fun to play, whereas the Blade Barrier prefix isn’t build-defining in the same way at all.

We have something better in mind than a boring must-take option on a Conduit, which are intended to enable unusual playstyles, not support the builds that are already common.

While I feel ya this is really only a core item on chillwhisper builds imoo and my chillwhisper build barely feels it too, still tears through crucible and SR. Seems in the patch note threads you got a bit upset and rage deleted your char before even trying it 
Makes a lot less of a difference than you might think. Build perform just a bit worse with many other medals
I didn’t delete my character lol, just the conduit. Yeah it’s chillwhisper, and it still does good so it’s not like it’s unplayable now, but it’s definitely a noticeable dps drop.
