New UI update is great! On mouse and keyboard. Using a controller (tested with Xbox Elite V2) has been a ton of frustration. Using the d-pad on some in game menus skips around as if there is an invisible inventory menu behind it. For the life of me I can’t figure out how to bring up the menu that allowed me to put skills in the hotbar via the controller. I went back to the live version and now it crashes every time, with the added bonus of making my mouse cursor stutter and drift to the right until I close out the crash screen.
Edit - Looks like the beta completely locked me out of going back to the live version. I uninstalled the game after switching to live in steam, then reinstalled, and now I can’t get into the main menu without the game crashing. I’m wondering if it’s tied to the new character I made?
Deleting the newly created character in the beta allowed me to get past the crash in live. Now, any character I try to plat with doesn’t get past the loading screen. The Crate icon in the lower right freezes (sound still plays), and clicking on the screen causes it to crash. I even uninstalled and reinstalled to a different drive (not C:) and it doesn’t make a difference. The only thing I can think of is deleting my folder in documents. I think I’m going to sit out the beta and hope my game isn’t permanently screwed.
Edit - I deleted everything in my documents folder and was able to load in with a character. I also realized that I wasn’t seeing the top of the inventory screen that has the bar with the controller icons to switch tabs because the UI slider was all the way to the right. My hotbar is new, but everything else looks the same. No new ui when I check my smuggler stash.
You are right. I got a little excited and jumped the gun before calmly reading everything. Not sure why I’m not getting the updated inventory and smuggler stash tho
